well last night was fun..

dear diary?.. first a lavly dinner italiano style with my sister and her boyfr. random bumping into the mother and sister of said boyfr in central london of all places. then the journey to old street..

quick drink at the flat before heading to james’ for talks of sick movie trailers, sleep paralysis and vanilla/playdough cigarettes.

at patrick’s there was a lot a lot a lot of ppl. got on the roof for a bit, scratched my hand on the roughy bit round the edge that i didn’t see. contemplated and discussed jumping the approx. 5metre gap between this building and the next, didn’t happen because someone would have died hah. found a cool pepper shaker thing with a light on the end, accidentally sprinkled some into jack’s beer, may have then also sprinkled some more in just to be nasty.. as revenge he was tossing it all over the place and one of the places it got to was my eye. spent a good few minutes with tears coming out my right eye and fcking my makeup as a result.

we were told to get down from the roof then ‘cos too many ppl were up there, then some dude with long hair tried to come up, was told he couldn’t and he started a fight.. on a roof.. with no barriers.. whilst pretty much fcked. good job dickhead! finally got back into the flat spent a while just sorta hanging about, chatting etctc. wounded up in the kitchen for more chats and giggles and water service.

in short, left to go back to james’.. jo lost phone so went back to patrick’s and just ended up having a bit of a dance, didn’t find phone so just left. bumped into patrick on way out, this is when he threw salad all over the road..

that 10min bus journey was pretty epic though. got a flower picked for me from jack’s pal anthony, downloaded the lightsaber app on phone aha, singing ignition remix and thong song.

at james’ the banter continued.. i think i agreed to marry jack at 30 if we’re both unattached? slapped him so his cheek turned red? and punched him in the stomach? i’m a really good friend

all these bitter people complaining about the reading line-up being shit or whatever but i’ve found it pretty good the last couple of years - even though i’ve only been to ‘09. you don’t go to be watching bands constantly anyway, plus you’re unlikely to know every band on there.. so go open minded, stop pissing on my bonfire ‘cos i’m absolutely ecstatic about b182 headlining this year. people who know know know me understand that i’ve been waiting half my life to see them live. other bands i’m excited to see are paramore, billy talent, all time low, gnr, dizzee, pendulum, nofx and enter shikari.. 4 of which i’ve seen before and i can’t remember having a bad time! other people i am looking fwd to seeing but i don’t really know arrrrre weezer, cypress hill, maccabees, cribs, and band of horses. there ya go, see you there my friends xx

holly’s leaving drinks thing..

1hr on the district line to richmond and to the lot! second time i’ve ever been there and it was about 10x as busy as last time. why was EVERYONE there last night? people i haven’t seen in years, pretty cool though. discovered strawberry cider, was so nice, just tasted like a fruity juice hah. enjoyed/didn’t enjoy watching holly get more and more drunk and completely gone before 11:30pm.. enjoyed cos honest i was really funny, didn’t enjoy her giving me the finger when i asked if she felt better. also shouting ‘NO! I LOVE YOU, BUT THAT’S NOT THE POINT’ when i asked whether she wanted to go to the bathroom to chill for a bit. not really sure what this point was she was talking about.

was a bit freaked out on the way to steph’s by simone constantly saying ‘fine ass pussy’ for absolutely no reason at all. s’alright, i said i’d slap him if he said it one more time, he tried me and i followed through. sweet! stayed up chatting with steph about everyone and life and shit and shit for a bunch o hours before drifting off to sleep. got up, tube again and back in the east now, ruth is not home even though she said she was, not much food left, just dried mango.. some ramen noodles, an apple or two and ferrero rochers. someone buy me some real food. might go and try conquer paparazzi on keyboard now..

friday night, dean's birthday flat party thing. basically.. was good and felt so rough at the end. don't have much to say about it really, was a good night, some good chats and dances and etctc, met some neat new people, blah blah blah. didn't sleep all night, standardly, went home at 1:30ish the next day and instead of sleeping just sorta bummed around for a few hours.

then saturday night was THE SKINTS

at borderline. sorta felt like i wanted to die the whole night due to lack of sleep, appetite was also completely gone (went to macdonalds pre-borderline, would normally inhale a meal deal but ate a couple of chips and threw the rest away - never happens). didn't do much for the 3 support bands: dirty revolution, anti-vigilante and i think mouthwash were there again too. what i found strange were the groups of people there who genuinely physically looked about 12 or 13. i mean, i am judging 100% on appearance as they were also dressed in the sorta h&m stuff i used to wear in year 7.. but a few of them looked very out of place. managed to pick myself up for the skints set, still dying at stood to the left side of the stage with rosie and izzy who were keeping me company during my downer, whilst steph and holly were off at the front dancing their asses off. set wo awesome as usual, getting people moving, including the teeny bopper gothic chick in front of me who was sorta grinding with herself, didn't really know what was going on there. wasn't really right in the head to be dancing but i got myself moving for channel and bright girl, couple of headbangs there for the mid bit of contemplations are always necessary. would loved to have joined the pit but probably would have passed out. people in the crowd sung back every word, was pretty surreal.. can't begin to imagine what the band were feeling. especially for murderer which is one of the more well known tracks of the album.

when the set finished, the crowd and i chanted for an encore song.. and our demands were met with sociopath. (i never understood why sociopath isn't played normally, i've been to a bunch of skints shows to this date and sociopath hasn't been played once that i can remember. maybe this will be something that is changed in future since everyone seemed to want sociopath to be played and everyone went mental for it). kids jumping onto stage, completely lost jamie k and jonathan d for a bit.. marcia r was arm in arm with some guy wearing a penny-tee.. joshua wr was pushed to the back as people took over aha. think something happened to his guitar at one point as well, oops. was just a crazy end to a wicked set. we've been told some new material might be on its way but for the next few months the skints will be in europe so might not be seeing them again for a while. however, i've been informed about some reggae and apparently also dubby fest in the country in august where the skints are supposedly playing. can't for the life of me remember what the name of the fest is but i'mma find out cos it sounds sweet.

took 4 nights to get to writing about this gig/the weekend, i've been super lazy recently.. went out to the pub on monday night in the south-west and caught up with everyone from home-home. was still sorta on a massive downer so wasn't the most amazingly fun person but whatever, i'm fully rested and looking forward to many more nights chilled or unchilled this easter break. back to e1 tomorrow..

just did my (new) daily 50 sit-ups per day, feels good but i wish i could sleep now. can never fall asleep.. just watching random episodes of f.r.i.e.n.d.s hoping it will make me somewhat sleepy. this weekend has been a mix of project work, home/family and friends. well, friend, izzy came over anyway hah.

this is the building i'm designing for my project. this is the model at scale 1:100 that hopefully my tutor will approve tmrw. so behind it's horrible. one more week before the presentation and i'm gonna kill myself working. no play for the next 7 days!

found loads of old pictures from some back-up disks this weekend as well, there are so many brilliant photos from back in the emo/scene/myspace days. they were great.. aha..

HAHAHA this is one of the first pictures i ever uploaded to my myspace. i remember getting dressed up, working out the self timer on the camera, putting it on my bathroom floor and posing. we were all so cool maaan..

so wednesday night i travelled to kingston for the rebel alliance tour, having missed the camden date for paddy's farewell ting. in all honesty, i went purely to see the skints play but was pleasantly surprised at the other two sets: chris murray, an acoustic solo artist and mouthwash, a london based ska band. unfortunately random hand couldn't make it for reasons i don't actually know but it woulda been cool to be introduced to them as well

night started off somewhut quiet as spragg and i stood to the side (where the switched-on radiators were aha) head noddin' and boppin' to chris murray accompanied by skints jon and jamie. not quite jason mraz style but did remind me of, was upbeat and strong and his voice was ..pleasant and relaxing.. for lack of better words. earned our respect from the beginning with his alkaline trio t-shirt and wkd facial hair hah. enjoyed the singalong bits where the crowd chirped 'i need water, i need love' a lot. reckon it was something i would bust out whilst chilling with a few friends and that

after chris murray was the skints. playing basically all the songs from the album cept sociopath (which was a shammme) they deff got us moving. wasn't all that aware of what was going on behind but definitely remember getting a skank on and headbangin' a couple a times. think the songs that stood out ta me were contemplations and bright girl, atmosphere was definitely epic when everyone around me were shouting 'don't hold no fear'. ar shit and change the channel was up there in faves as well. umm, oh yeah, broke into a laugh when someone said 'i think they need some saxual healing' before marcia's wkd sax solo, too good. whole set was awesome doe and the heat was rising fast (with the help of the radiators which were ON). only downer was when i got pushed from behind and jogged josh's mic stand, didn't quite get knocked over but was pretty worried i'd fcked things up!

then came mouthwash. had never heard of em really til this night but surprised how fast i got into them. after a couple of songs standing and feeling the beat etc i put my dumb hoody down and joined the rest of the crowd with tha dancing and killing. no idea what the songs were called (apart from one i recall being 'that girl') but highlights were those upbeat choruses that turned up the sweating even more than it wo. couple a small punches/elbows in the face but no bruises so that's aiite, do remember sophie properly falling over at one point ;)

overall, brill night and £7 well spent. definitely beats this weird music coming from the flat either next to mine or above. probably upstairs tho, my upstairs neighbours can srsly suck it, they keep me up every night aha, i'm out.. peace xx

xmas `09

the hype for xmas this year wasn't as big as other years. didn't feel all that xmassy when it got to that day. on xmas eve, normally our family opens one present each at midnight.. however this year mama decided to go to her room in a mood and not com own all night. heoloi went to sleep at 10pm. chorloi went with mama. so it was just me and yanloi in the living room at midnight..

on xmas day, we started by watching tv.. just like any other day. didn't feel like xmas or anything special - not really sure what you're meant to 'feel' on xmas day though........ - -
we opened presents and whatnot..:

piano keyboard, topshop scarf, topshop skirt, juicy couture necklace, estee lauder foundation and moneys. .
went to granparents house and got really really bored haha. watched some more tv, movies butcouldn't watch our dvds because there was a weird static sound coming out when we tried to. laame
oh hey, this is my grandad.. so into his hat..

so looking forward to christmas day. tonight we had a nice roast chicken dinner with gravy and veggies and all. no turkey, not ever been a turkey family haha. we plan on going to granparents tmrw night like every christmas (except last year because we had only had amber - doggy - for like 2 months and didn't want to leave her!) to hang out and have chinese xmas dinner.

so me and flatmates at DG-house had a wee xmas party in c1c on thurs night. steph and holly popped in earlier, and steph and i celebrated receiving our snuggies....... haha these are going to be so awesome for allnighters out and fests..

went to go pick up spragg and maxwell. can't see it in the picture but god it was funny the way all the snow was sticking to maxwell's hairybeast of a torso.

this is one of the only pics of me i could find from this night. it was a bit crazy. at one point i remember escaping to ruth's room for a few mins of quiet and peace.. to find ruth and morna doing the same! haha

i can't remember what day this was, but steph invited me to do the circle-line-pub-crawl during the day. beginning at 12:30pm. being up before midday was killer enough! in the end it didn't work out. we all met at victoria underground station and chilled in whetherspoons for a bit. had a nice convo with the bargirl i seem to recall haha. got mahself a strongbow, stephy stuck with her double vodka and cranberry. chris, alex and the rest of the boys stuck with their beers haha obv. we also went to sports cafe briefly.. and another place i can't remember

^this pic was taken in trafalgar square where we went for the free lunch thing that was going on. unfortunately, we got there at around 3pm and they stopped serving at 2pm. haha oops. owell, this was a cool polar bear ice sculpture though - that was like half melted already¬¬.......so in the end we went to a cute diner just off leceister square. it was an adorable lil' retro cafe. two courses for £5.90.. and if dessert was desired.. just £1.50 more!! god it was good for our starving bellies.

so we finally got a thumbs up for our model design on monday like i said.. this is the prototype (to scale). mm nice right! buaha and we strted making the real thing today. had a lot of troubles with the measurements.. apparently the ones in the drawings were all off!

this is the box we made. took us about 2 hours of talking to the technician.. measuring.. getting it right etcetc haha. hopefully nxt time it goes a bit faster. also did one other shape::::

so.... after whatever hours of panic, pain, blood, swear and tears (well - -) the essay has finally been electronically+physically submitted. YESSSSSSSSSS.. last night we had a powercut, and my laptop was out of battery so i couldn't do the last minute touchups or print it out OR send it to the tutor for about 3 and a half hrs.. was panicking like a twat. owell.. um now to finish and perfect the other unit's works. maaaan

on the way back it decided to pour down. -i'm glad i decided not to wear tht white top at last minute lol, could've been 100% disaster. my trackies are soaked, hair is damp, hatty is drowning on the drying rack thing)): are we srsly going out tonight to celebrate the coming of xmas with tanvi tonight in this weather since she's leaving on the 5th? gahhd, i think we are.

well, kings divali show on sunday night was awesome. great entertainers, great dancers, my chick kiwi was brilliant! here are some (very bad) pics from the night(:

overall, a genuinely nice night.

today's class tho was another story. rushing out.. i forgot my phone so i felt lost all day! tutors shook heads at out prototype model so we had to rethink our design and make a whole new model after carrie's hard work over the wkend - -`````

in the end we made the model and finally our model was given the thumbs up it deserves. need to do the drawings/cutting list for it tho so tht we can get tht started ASAP in workshops since we only have 2 wks to do it in. not to mention we have to build the frcking TABLE for it to go on.. omg.. how? when? i think this job will be given to ken since he hasn't done much yet! (tut tut kenneth wong!)

the essay i've started to write, after reading my tutors email to the year, isn't what is expected so i'm going to have to reread and edit it LOADS before i can give it in on wednesday. bscly, freaking out a lil bit!

missing my matty-bear, my frnds are awol atm and pretty much have better things to do than to see/talk to me. bored with it. do you ever find that when you aren't thinking about speaking to someone.. or they feel like you're neglecting them.. they will pick up on it and come running back to you and try hard to keep in touch. then, as soon as you're more attentive to them than normal.. they just cba to talk to you? well.. tht's how i feel with a few ppl atm, and i'm sick of it. i don't want to talk to you for fear of starting to be more attentive to you 'cos then you'll just bugger off and not give a sht.

baah, giant rant. now.. for dinner that i can't afford. i have £93 left of my student loan, £70 of that has to go on next months travelcard and the rest of it has to last me until january. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO = =`;;;; i barely have any food left and i haven't had a real meal for days 'cos i don't want to spend anything on food. on top of that i need to pay for materials etcetc. at uni! if my hair falls out due to stress i'd only be 10% surprised. HELP!! rant over, small dinner and back to work. 2 more wks to go..!!!!

wahs, the night before last went to see the skints again.. this time at new slang in kingston. again, they blew mah socks off(;
support band: the gecko - reminded me of jamie t were also real good. got us dancing, spragg more than any of us but still.. bahaha. i enjoyed 'falling down' the most i think. we even managed to squeeze an encore out of them(;

then it was skints time(;

it was a perfect time in my life. what a great set. favourite songs of the night were murderer (standardly) and change the channel. few dranks and dances later it was the end of the set and there were moans from all around us, not to mention a bunch of encore requests. by the end of the set i was pretty parched after shouting/singing (not rly sure which it was) and also yelling 'rock it marcia' a few dozen times. how embarrassing......¬¬

then a cold trip home on the ol' 65 bus, taking the route i took so many times before.
today i lay in for the first time this wk.. snoozed my alarm without guilt
lazed about in the day and then dinner with my sistaaahs @zizzi in richmond

the xmas tree in richmond was out. first time i actually felt like xmas is coming
brought a warm fuzzy feeling to mah body. appreciate it

saw this on the way to restaurant. thought it was funny..
there was someone inside it, but i think it was just some nobody. boring!
a nice expensive meal later we were all full up, there were major jokes+lawlls all over the place..
yanloi dropping her very new phone, "MASCARPONE!", the camera on y's phone, heo's dumb bb storm locking thing, i can't even remember half of it..

when i got home these lil' babies were waiting for me in my mailbox. they're a little too big so might get the smaller size.. no wanting clown feet eh!??
also some lonsdale hoodies for those cold winter nights. excellent!
oh and i bought this last night
